Plus, if your cat is elderly or overweight they may have trouble cleaning areas they had no trouble reaching when they were younger. Wipe Your Kitty

However, note you should use this method sparingly. Just like over washing your hands, over wiping your cat can actually dilute their natural oils and make their coat dry. To keep your cat healthy, you should only use the wipes once a week, or even every two weeks.

Brush Your Kitty

Similar to the reasons you brush your own hair, the simplest thing you can do to keep your kitty clean is regular brushing. By giving your cat a helping hand and brushing it regularly, you’ll lessen the time it spends licking which. This in turn will prevent them from swallowing all the hair and dirt that constitutes those hair balls. So, find a brush that your cat doesn’t mind and spend some time brushing! Just make sure the brushing goes down somewhere that’s easy to sweep, as pet dander is a leading dust culprit!
